Welcome to ACI New Mexico!

The New Mexico Chapter of the American Concrete Institute is advancing concrete knowledge by conducting seminars, managing various certification programs, and offering scholarships to students in the field.

To locate our upcoming certification programs, please click on the calendar and all scheduled classes for 2022 can be found there.  Only the next three programs are listed here on the home page.  

The American Concrete Institute has always retained the same basic mission—to develop, share, and disseminate the knowledge and information needed to utilize concrete to its fullest potential.

We are looking for a few team members to add to our certification team!

If you are interested in joining us as a Supplemental Examiner for any of our programs, please follow these steps:

  1. Access ACI University by clicking HERE. (You need not be a member of ACI to access this module; you will only need to have created a profile on ACI's website with a login and password to access the modules.)
  2. On the main ACI University page, there is an option for “Redeem Code,” and enter SE2016
  3. Complete the training module as directed.
  4. After successful completion, please save your certificate and contact our certification chair Joe Almaraz at 505-991-7606. 
  5. You will need to provide Joe with a copy of your certificate. 

All supplemental examiners are required provide us with this certificate. 

Excellence in Concrete 2026

Call For Entries!

The Excellence in Concrete Construction Awards honors exceptional concrete construction from around the state. Projects are recognized for the degree of innovation, complexity, achievement, and value that concrete as a material provides.

Recently completed and nominated concrete projects are judged by an independent panel of industry professionals for first- and second-place category awards. Only one project will stand out by receiving the overall Excellence Award on Thursday November 12th, 2026 at our Award Banquet held at TopGolf. 

Submission deadline is October 23rd, 2026.

Submit your project by submitting your application through the New Mexico ACI Chapter website on or before October 23rd, 2026. The project must be submitted by a current chapter member. The entire form must be completed for application to be accepted. To fill out the submittal form click here!

The nominated project must consist of new construction that was completed within the 36 months preceding the submission deadline.

Rules

  1. Entry must be a new construction completed within the 36 months preceding the submission deadline.
  2. Entry must highlight innovative use of concrete as a main principal construction element.
  3.  Entry must demonstrate creativity and innovation in the application of concrete technology.
  4.  A minimum of four photos are required per nomination. Nomination may include up to a 90‑second time‑lapse video. No animations or artificial intelligence will be accepted. Concrete as well as the construction process should be featured in a majority of the photos.
